CSEM has presented its 2019 Digital Journey Award to Federnfabrik Schmid, a Zurich-based company specializing in the manufacture of industrial springs. The 65-strong company received the first prize of CHF 100,000 in the form of technological support after winning over the jury with its innovative idea to produce smart springs for predictive maintenance.
"We are experts in spring technology, but certainly not in energy harvesting, miniaturization and digitization," says CEO Albert Enste. "That's why we need CSEM's help."
